I love you too guys even if you're too stupid to notice that this kind of videos can only bring you more money. 4th of my works they decide to erase.

I really hope my next post here will be Never Stay Tuned 4. The end is near, I even started the ending credits. I got 2 more sequences to edit and it will be done

I'm in vacation those days and I thought I could use this time to finish the movie. But all I can do is play video games, waiting for sounds and guests sequences to move forward. Having a lot of fun with inFamous though ^^.

Random quotes websites are great to find a post title ! Never Stay Tuned 4 is going fine even if nights are not long enough to edit and sleep. Getting a lot of ideas and help from friends and it really feels great. My main fear is to forget someone in the end credits, so I try to note down everything.
This sequence is a total secret there's not a single chance you could guess who made it.
Sequences are a bit longer than in previous NST so now I got to work on shorter ones from now on to keep it dynamic. But as I started a 15sec parody tonight, it now last more than 30 seconds... And I'd better join the AEA "After Effects Anonymous" because even if I try hard, I can't go back to 100% Vegas and edit a sequence a night like before.
Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead is purley coincidental.
Not much to say that I did not say yet, this NST4 already took me more hours than the previous ones and I'm not done with it yet.

There's a 15 minutes interview (in french) I did for a podcast called WowTaku You can download the mp3 if you right clic > Here (interview starts around 79:00 if you don't need to practice your french too hard) I was supposed to be in the special mages episode but my mic was down. So the interview is in this week's episode, the special paladins ! And yep, that's the reason why this Olibith dressed as a paladin.

It's been a while since I blogged about NST4, not enough time mostly because of the video itself. Some guests canceled, one of them is head over hills in love and the other had a baby to take out of her body (GG she's perfect !). Other guests look like they're gonna make it in time as you can see right here !

The result is beyond what I needed even if it took a lot more time than expected. And that is the main problem now, time. I decided to go back to faster editing method for the rest of NST4 because even if After Effects makes badass scenes, but it also make me wanna freeze time or quit my job and both are not reasonable things to do. So once I'll be done with the 2 sequences I'm editing right now, I'll go full Vegas and try not to think about what could have been done better in AE... Let's pray it will work.

Still having fun with CrazyTalk, even if sometimes I distort faces a little too much. But the WoW /talk animations are so old now that I think I don't have any other choice. And it makes talking scenes less boring to watch, so I can add more dialogs.
Politicaly incorrect would be the best word to describe what nst4 looks like right now, it was not anything I decided but I guess that's how I like entertainment. There might be some people who will be shocked by some scenes, but according to many reviews, they already were shocked by my movies even when I thought it was just funny. So... I don't give a murloc's ass.

I should soon have news from guests and have new screens to show you, be back soon ! I guess. NST4 should be done in early July, I'm on vacation in 3 weeks so I will be able to machinimate full time, well, as I also got a familly it will not be fulltime, but at least every nights. Yeah... it's already every nights... but as I will be in vacation I can maybe sleep less than 4 hours ?
The Sex Junkie video was mentioned again in the ESL TV show "WoW Wednesday" !!! This time, there was a "server down" moment during the show and the entire machinima was shown !!! Thanks again to Matt Rider and also to Eriyanna.
Well... Tonight I'm supposed to end a sequence, but I need to create a smoke with particles (who said black smoke ?) As the smoke layer is slowing down After Effects too much, I have to render it in good quality. That's what is happening right now... So I decided to post some pictures but as I need to keep some secrets, I can only afford 2 more screenshots.

New microphone arrived and it works perfectly ! I was waiting to record lines, (2 gnomes and سعيد جراح.) It's excellent. even if there are some little background house noises, it records a clear and clean voice. Very nice microphone.
There's this PS3 game where you can find a camera and take pictures that become jpegs on the PS3 hardrive. I plan on trying to take some pictures, maybe just walls, grounds, textures and machinimate a spoof of the game. But it's been a long time since I played it and I hope my game saves are still there. Looks like the rendering is almost done, for 10 seconds of video it took 90 minutes to render. Thanks for reading !
My Troll road movie sequence is done ! And it was a big chunk with 28 different scenes for 37 seconds ! Eriyanna sent me a link to an ESL TV show called, WoW wednesday, where she and I were mentioned !

Feels good to work again with Awilo, always ready for some action and this Troll really is hungry for art. This clip is now almost done, nope this is not YumYum TV nor UDMTV but some will say it's just a mix of both. Nope, this is much more than that, actually it's a mix of both plus N3RD TV. After Effects is like magic glue, what took 5 minutes in Vegas now takes an hour with AE without counting the new ideas that comes in the process and that I got to try before going to sleep. Ahh... Sleeping... overrated.
I've been working with new voice actors recently on the very first sequence of NST4, Eriyanna and Druox. They both did an excellent and hilarious job and I'm so gonna need their talents again soon. I always wanted to have a proper microphone to record my kakekikoku kakeki kako and other bouyaka sankhalua, so I asked around and Caruu pointed me a great and simple solution I could afford.
It was about time I had something a little more pro than my headset mic
I just had an evening to test and check it's amazing quality compare to my old mic and then it started to make a freaking strange click/pop sound every seconds... So I tried everything to understand WHY... And it looks like there's a hardware problem with it. It will travel back to Germany soon and I hope next one will work just fine... That, for example, the click sound is not coming from a neighbour's brand new iron lung or something.

Well... I've been thinking about this, a lot. For the first time since I machinimate, I'm stuck into something too big. I've been working on this concert video since now 2 month and only 2 minutes are done, I mean almost done. 1 minute/month for a 12 minutes concert at least, that would mean more than a year. Filming a real concert is just about having a lot of cameras and then smart editing. The 3 /talk emotes of my singer is clearly not enough to keep people watching for 12 minutes, so it needs a lot of ideas and a lot of special effects to keep it watchable. Add to that the fact that with a private machinima server and texture changing it takes me, after a daily training, 1 hour to recreate from scratch the scene and everything around before I can do anything...
As it will take ages to machinimate I decided to pause the concert. I'm not giving up, I'll work on it little by little. That's the only way if I don't want to make a video with repetitive scenes and a boring experience for the viewers.
Ok, so ? What's next ? My mental notebook was about to explode so maybe was it time to start editing Never Stay Tuned4
Some guests already started to work, and I cannot wait to see those sequences, once again they have total freedom inside the concept of wow channel surfing. Here's a screenshot from a guest sequence, I will not tell you yet who he or she is. All I can say is that it is hilarious.

After effects basics were laborious for me but little by little I start toying around now. This crowd starts looking better and I just started recording panoramic scenes. As I'm now in charge of any AE project at work, I can practice and watch tutorials when things are quiet. So sometimes, at night, I don't feel like machinimating at all.
So I relax and do some Photoshop instead ! Here's a wallpaper I did during one of those entertaining nights :
Just a lil' post to tell you that the concert progresses at the speed of a dying snail on a cheese grater in Sahara. After trying many different ideas to film a crowd with a panoramic move, the only way that seems to work here is After Effects. But even with AE, this is something that would need a computer from the Nasa. So I will have only a dozen different layers (with several characters on it) and not 100 like I first tried. ^^
A movie without a Sony Vegas lens flare FX is and will always be a failure.
