AE is not that scary after all (in nOOb mode).

Just a lil' post to tell you that the concert progresses at the speed of a dying snail on a cheese grater in Sahara. After trying many different ideas to film a crowd with a panoramic move, the only way that seems to work here is After Effects. But even with AE, this is something that would need a computer from the Nasa. So I will have only a dozen different layers (with several characters on it) and not 100 like I first tried. ^^

A movie without a Sony Vegas lens flare FX is and will always be a failure.

Blizzard© just killed me !!!

Tonight was the first time I had the chance to properly visit the Horde side of Dalaran.
I wanted to pay a visit to Awilo Lon'gomba, Grand Master Cooking Trainer, my all time favorite game Non-Playing-Character in the galaxy. I spent a looong time watching him cutting meat, watching his nice kitchen, every details.
I saw he had a female troll cooking with him and I really loved the way she looked : Red rasta dreadlocks and dressed with the Ethiopian flag colors.
Her name is Misensi, hehe, really loved that name too.

Then I had a déjà vu feeling... As I practiced tonight some rastafarian meditation while playing, I was certain it was nothing.
But unusually this déjà vu lasted.
I knew that I once created a similar reggae troll female for the 420 section of Never Stay Tuned 2. This blue skin troll with green, yellow and red outfit was such a pain to chroma key that I sure remember her, but not every details. I wanted to check how close Misensi was to my troll.

OMFG even the earrings are the same.

Now I really need to cut down on video games for good and look for a good therapist.

I think I killed teh BUG !

Just a little post to celebrate the end of the bug !

As I already told you, I suck at understanding what's going on inside a computer, so I'll probably suck at explaining how the bug died. I'll try
After deleting and reinstalling different version of my graphic card drivers (a very old one, an old ones and the last one) without any changes, I decided to just delete the drivers and to reboot...
I was expecting something like a 800x600 display with 8 colors, but it seems like everything was fine, my desktop was looking good, I tried the viewer... And the bug is gone.
I wanted to be sure so I tried every softwares I could to check if there was no other problem.
AND THERE ISN'T ANY !!

Even if I had a plan B, this bug was stuck in my head, forcing me to think about it when all I needed was ideas and focus for the concert video.

After days of a terrible war, help from many machinima armies... the bug won...
I'll have to brainwash my laptop.

Certainely a personal virus sent by the Sinatras or the Carpenters.

Everything I tried made it even more intriguing for la crème of the geeks.
OK then.

I've been cleaning my old PC, I just kept an old WoW, an old wowmodelviewer and Fraps. Enough to capture what I'll need too for this actual project. Once it will be done, I'll have to format the laptop drive wich is to me a real trauma since I suck at saving datas and installing systems, pilots etc...

Dalaran, Azeroth's thyroid gland.

I've been working on the story board, got a lot of work with this concert in Dalaran. Why did I choose the most laggy city of the game ? Anyway, I cheated, no more outdoor concert, I found a place that will be even better with less polygons to calculate. But don't tell anyone it's not in Dalaran, at least don't tell any roleplayers.

Most of the people in Dalaran have come here from the far
to try to make enough gold to go back to Ironforge...
on a motorcycle or a giant mammoth.

There wille be 3 songs in the movie, each one with a very different feeling. First one will be about traveling, second one about technology and the last about small people who lost their city... 12 minutes, I can tell you that the storyboard is quite scary and the ideas that may come in the editing will make it even longer.
As if I needed them now, many ideas are also coming for futur machinimas, an intrusive one about Awilo as the main character, many stupid clip ideas for NST4, some copyrighted music videos I'd like to do too... Many mental storyboards haunting me but first, this concert, I promised.
